May 18th, 2011 by christo

Presenting her work via video Skype, the Munich-based digital artist, Tamiko Thiel, walked her Johannesburg audience through a number of her interactive virtual worlds.  Thiel has been described as "a border-crosser and an explorer of virtual space" and the works that she presented took her audience into the worlds of the Berlin Wall, a phantasmagoric Venice, and the Japanese-American internment camps of World War II.
