A promising one night airing of video artists from all over South Africa, Artinthedark_ will be playing outdoors on two large screens in the park, at 19h30 and 21h00 on Thursday 2 December.

The sound byte = “A one-night open-air video festival on the 2 December 2004. Artinthedark is a show-case of South African video works. Artinthedark aims to utilize dysfunctional spaces in Johannesburg City and through this to evoke a sense of the outside public-space. Whilst suggesting ephemeral solutions to so called dead zones. As the venue, The Faan Smit Park, 3rd Avenue Melville, is integral to the project because at present there exists controversy over it’s function.”
